balancing it all.

It's hard to believe it has been almost one year since my last post. I'm a busy girl, what can I say?

I am currently enjoying the best of both worlds. I'm a sahm 4 days of the week and a hairstylist/salon manager 3 days a week. I love being home with my girls and I also love my non mommy mode time at the salon. I'm also involved in bible study and teach Sunday school and mission friends at our church. I have two side businesses,  photography and event styling. I cook, I clean, I run, I shop, and I blow up social media. Oh, and somewhere in all of that I'm a a busy marine reservist with a full time job, both of which keep him away from home a lot. Like I said, I'm a busy girl.

Am I complaining? Not at all. Am I overwhelmed? Absolutely.

My current goal in life is to figure out how to balance it all. I know that God did not bless me with my beautiful family, the opportunity to stay home with my girls, a job I love,  all of these wonderful talents and the activities we are involved in, for me to be over whelmed. He was me to enjoy it! To be honest that is hard for me some times. I become focused on myself and wonder when I'm going to get to take a relaxing bubble bath or  have 5 minutes of silen. When is someone going to do something for me? When do I get a girls night out or a date night like everyone else on instagram? WHAT ABOUT MEEEEE?!

What about me? Im living the dream. What else could I expect God to bless me with? I have everything I need. Everything I don't deserve. So I am taking the focus off of what I think I need and putting it on what I have. Not worrying about what I want to do but be present in what I'm doing now.

I know I'm not the only one who struggles with contentment. What do you do when you get overwhelemed with having too much to do and are still wanting more?

I will be spending time in prayer and meditation asking God to help me focus. I will post notes, quotes, scripture,  and reminders around my house and in my appointment book to keep me on track.

Share any tips you use to keep yourself focused
